Hookdiggy
Keeping his mic skills fresh, "Work This…" was going to be the first track off of a 2009 mixtape from Hookdiggy, but he decided to keep his focus on his new album, single, and music promotion. Expect more mixtape tracks from Hookdiggy, but nothing concrete on a complete mixtape before his next album drops. Those of you who recognize the DJ Pooh produced track will also recognize the promo art associate with the track’s release.

Right on the heels of working with Redman on the Blackout 2 album, Hookdiggy gets in the studio and records a remix to a track off of his 2003 Octopia album titled, "On My Way". Asking super songwriter and singer Melanie Rutherford to bless the hook on the track as she did "A Lil’ Bit" off of the Method Man & Redman Blackout 2 album. The original song was a synopsis of what the game would be like as Hookdiggy make the right moves and got the right connections to make a lucrative career in the rap game. With the "On My Way (remix)", things have changed as some of those things mentioned on the original track have come into fruition. This remix (which can be assumed is an entirely different song) was Hookdiggy’s way of checking in with where he is and where he wants to be. "On My Way (remix)" is currently being distributed to radio stations worldwide.

"Give It Ya Best", produced by Brooklyn Native, Truescribe, was Hookdiggy’s cry out to the music industry that it takes a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get to where you want to be in life, and more specifically the music industry. He talked about his distaste that there are too many wannabes looking at the game as if it’s easy and not respecting the fact that is doesn’t happen overnight. The track also shares with the listener his passion for music, and respect for those who have sacrificed the time to get where they are. "Give It Ya Best" is currently available at online retailers iTunes and CD Baby. A remix was recorded later by Swedish producer Armin Starmo.

Working with Swedish Super-Producer Demyo, Hookdiggy recorded two tracks talking about what he felt about rap music in the era of most claiming it was dead. "Lost Hip-Hop" was turned into a music video that competed and won for several months in the Hip-Hop category over at www.famecast.com. "Bone To Pick" was written aimed at all the posers in the hip-hop industry. Demyo, knowing for being a serious real hip-hop head gave the approval for the subject matter for both tracks and some serious Hookdiggy classic’s were born.
